LTA 2025 Championship Details

The LTA 2025 Championship is the final stage of the inaugural LTA season. It came about as a unification of the North American (LCS), Brazilian (CBLOL), and Latin American (LLA) leagues, with teams from all three leagues now playing in the LTA.

The league is split into two parts: LTA North, which features North American teams, and LTA South, which features South American teams. Both leagues play out within their own regions, and the top three teams from Split 3 qualify for the LTA 2025 Championship.

This year’s LTA Championship will take place from September 13 to September 28 with a double-elimination bracket featuring all best-of-five matches. Teams are placed based on seeds, with the first seed from LTA North & South facing each other in the upper bracket final, while the second and third seeds face off in the lower bracket.

The LTA 2025 prize pool is an impressive $205,000, but that’s not all that’s on offer. The teams are also battling it out for three spots at the League of Legends World Championship, making the LTA Championship one of the biggest events on the LoL esports calendar.

Six of the best LoL teams from the Americas will be facing off in the LTA Championship. Shopify Rebellion and FlyQuest have already secured their spots from LTA North, while Keyd Stars and Pain Gaming are set to represent LTA South. Two more teams will join them based on Split 3 results, which is set to conclude on September 7.

FlyQuest

FlyQuest enters the LTA 2025 Championship as heavy favorites, having had an amazingly impressive year so far.

The team took home the Split 2 crown with hard-earned wins against Cloud9, then put up an incredible showing at the Mid-Season Invitational, taking down G2 3-0, before falling to Bilibili Gaming in a very competitive 3-2 series.

They’ve since continued their strong form and are yet to lose a game, never mind a series, in Split 3, boasting a 9-0 run in games as they await their match against Shopify Rebellion. Considering all that, it’s hard to see anyone in the LTA being able to stop them.

Shopify Rebellion

While they don’t have as impressive a resume as FlyQuest, Shopify Rebellion has been consistently improving throughout the LTA this year.

From a humbling 5th-6th place finish in Split 1, they’ve consistently evolved, placing third in Split 2, and now securing themselves a place at the LoL LTA 2025 Championship after a huge win against Cloud9 in Split 3.

If they can continue their impressive growth, they could very well take home the LTA 2025 Championship trophy.

Pain Gaming

Many people will be overlooking the LTA South teams as South American squads have historically disappointed in international competitions. However, Pain Gaming has a good shot at the LTA 2025 Championship.

They secured their spot at the event with a very impressive win over a strong RED Canids side and have consistently been one of the better teams in their region. Their key to victory is their ADC Alexandre “TitaN” Lima, who has been dominating lately and may well be one of the best ADC players in the Americas.

If TitaN can keep up his high level throughout the LTA Championship, he can carry his team all the way to a title.

How to watch the LTA 2025 Championship

You can watch all the LoL LTA 2025 Championship action on the official Twitch or YouTube channels. It’s likely some creators will also be co-streaming the event, but a full list hasn’t been revealed just yet.

History of the LTA Championship

With 2025 being the first year of the LTA, there isn’t too much history just yet. So far, only two full Splits have been played, with LTA North being won by 100 Thieves in Split 1 and FlyQuest in Split 2. Meanwhile, Isurus Eternal took home the first LTA South title, and Furia won Split 2.

There has been one LTA event where teams from both regions competed – the LTA 2025 Cross Conference. Team Liquid took the crown there, with all four LTA North participants claiming the top four places, while the LTA South teams took the bottom four places.

So while things are definitely looking in favor of the LTA North teams, anything could happen as we wait for the first chapter of LTA Championship history to be written.
