We like to say YIN is everyone’s best friend. A practice that offers tremendous space for rest and renewal. Yin encourages tissue resiliency, improves joint mobility and helps to reduce stress from daily life.


You will find yourself in stationery held poses during our 60min class. Poses can range from 3-7 minute holds meanwhile helping you to tap into the parasympathetic nervous system and create balance and ease. The act of carefully taking a posture and tending to your body’s unique set of needs for the duration of the hold is a form of self-care and meditation.

What are the benefits of YIN?

Yin offers a much deeper access to the body and mind. During each pose we work on positively manipulating the connective tissues. Connective tissue responds best to a slow, steady load, with the aim to make the body a little longer and stronger.

Yin is also good if you are feeling an imbalance in your energy. Really tired? Or if you have too much energy and you are overstimulated Yin is a great practice to cultivate balance and release physical and mental tension.

Is YIN right for me?

Arrive to unwind. Collect your props that are needed for this class and set up your space whilst awaiting your teacher to guide you. This 60min class is an opportunity to deepen your meditation practice in a calm environment.


During the evening we keep the lights down low and practice by candlelight this helps to set you up for deep rest before bed. During the day we also provide optional eye silk pillows for you to use.

Eliza Hayward

Eliza’s journey of self-discovery and personal growth began as a curious teenage student where accessing yoga and meditation was part of her ritual.

Her classes are deeply rooted in accessing the physical and energetic systems of the body to awaken the intelligence within.  For Eliza following the yogic path is a joyous journey which has brightened her desire to create her own studio.

Eliza finds that yoga is a wonderful vehicle to gather community and share expression and celebrate this life changing practice with those who also seek and are curious about enhancing their lives. 

 Eliza is an influential yoga and meditation teacher, empowerment coach and retreat host. She is renowned for her passion and joy while honouring the practices of yoga which overflows into the community.

She exudes warmth and loves connecting with her fellow students. Eliza’s classes hold space to integrate all parts of yourself together.

Olivia Kerr

Olly is an energetic fountain of positivity and enthusiasm, traits she brings to every class.

Her yoga journey started a couple of years ago as a way to counterbalance her love of running and athletics. Since experiencing the mind/body benefits of the practice, yoga has become one of Olly’s greatest passions.

Her personal practice is focused towards distilling her natural energy into breath, movement and flow, finding a space within that allows for growth.

She is a student of Chiropractic Science and loves applying her knowledge of anatomy into creative flows.

Olly brings a steadiness to her teaching with attention to alignment and strong, slow poses while encouraging movement that feels good!

Sherrie Laryse

Sherrie Laryse is a teacher and mentor with a background of 10+ years studying and working in human behaviour, neuro linguistics, grief, trauma, psychosomatics, mental illness, yoga and mindfulness.

In consulting with clients, as well as applying everything she’s learned along the way to her own life, Sherrie has positioned herself a leading teacher on how to process our experiences – our external environment – in order to control our emotions, our health and our state of being -our internal environment.

Terri Montgomery

Terri’s goal is to have you leaving her classes energised, nourished and calm.

Terri has run successful retreats and workshops over the years and is always seeking to further her skill set and offerings.

Terri held the position of Yoga Coach with Virgin Active from April 2017-November 2019 achieving many things such as mentoring a team, running Foundation Courses, 30 Days of Yoga, Master classes such as Yoga and Live music to enhance the yoga program offered.

Outside of the studio Terri loves to visit the ocean, swimming, snorkelling and walking its shores most days or sitting under her favourite tree to meditate or read, her peaceful place.

Terri loves to travel and in 2019 walked the Camino Frances, from the Pyrenes in France across the border to Spain finishing on the west coast of northern Spain, approximately 820kms in 37 days it was amazing and she learnt so much in that space, every day was a calling to be more of who she is and to travel light through life.

Terri enjoys to play the harmonium and you may get to hear her in class sometimes when it calls her to do so. She also loves to play her singing bowl and chant mantras to evoked the heart and centre the mind in presence. She enjoys hanging out with her family and friends. Anything creative art, drawing and gardening, to reading, learning and journaling. A regular practice is a must in the many yoga pathways to presence. Dark chocolate, a latte and crunchy plain chips is her vice.

Acacia Grant

For Acacia, she first discovered the sweet sensations of savasana in a year 9 P.E yoga class.

Once in her 20’s Acacia began to understand the importance of the practice. Her own health and wellbeing had improved so much and she noticed that the practice was leading her towards a more peaceful experience beyond the times she spent on her mat. Once she felt this she knew the magic needed to be shared.

Acacia has completed teacher training with Power Living, 200 hours and also Advanced Teacher Training. She completed more training in Sydney with Simon Park and then spent time scrubbing floors and chanting in an Indian Ashram. She has taken endless workshops and days are filled practising the philosophies of Yoga.

Acacia’s classes are filled with the knowledge gained from all of her life’s experiences.
Her most important teachers being nature and her 2 daughters.

Her aim is to make Yoga accessible and relatable to life, to help people find ease in chaos and to find what their own version of healthy is.

Acacia integrates the physical practice with breath and encourages people to be present and connected. She will support you and guide you through the class with respect and humility.

Laural Furze

Laural’s journey with yoga began 10 years ago when her now husband introduced her to the Asana practice.

What started as an initial form of physical exercise eventually expanded beyond the physical leading to a deeper understanding of herself.

Yoga has since been a consistent ritual in Laural’s life and continues to help her feel more at home within herself, while also giving her tools to help navigate the challenges that come along with everyday life.

Laural has worked in the fitness industry as a personal trainer, group fitness coach and nutrition coach for the past 6 year, giving her vital education and an understanding of human anatomy while also exploring human behaviour and mindset through helping others on their health and fitness journey.

Finally after many years of ignoring the call to teach the opportunity and timing aligned to dive deep into becoming a yoga teacher and sharing this wonderful practice with others.

Laural also weaves her background in music through her yoga classes, often incorporating crystal sound bowls, vocals and mantras to help students drop into a deeper state of relaxation and self enquiry.
