We believe in an authentic yoga practice at Divine Flow. We want you to leave feeling deeply connected and to continue embracing the small shifts that take place on your yoga journey.
We invite you to move with purpose and passion. Restore, awaken and become creative in your practice to have an inwards and outer experience.
What would you like to gain from your practise?
Start exactly where you are. Come to class as you are. I started my yoga journey very stiff and lacked body awareness. Through consistent practice you can develop the space and know that movement will follow. I am all about moving the way your body craves or intends to move and lastly, try to please leave the ego at the door.
Creating shapes. Changing perception. Emanating positive vibes for our world and everything in it.
Yoga is not just about the physical practice, the yoga pose is not the goal, becoming flexible is not the goal, standing on your head is not the goal. The goal is to create some space where you once were stuck and stiff. To soften they layers of protection you’ve built around your heart. To love and appreciate your body and become aware of the mind and the noise it creates. To make peace with who you are. The goal is to love, to love others, but most especially to love yourself. “Come to your Yoga mat to feel; not accomplish. Shift your focus and your heart will grow” – Rachel Brathen.
Moving slowly and discovering a stillness in our practice in each shape, transition and pose. Gradually we begin to connect our movement with breath and let that life force be a catalyst to the way in which we move on our mat.
This would probably be the power of breath and conscious movement in changing someones physical and emotional state.
